I woke up yesterday to find this furry thing growing in my bathroom sink.... does anyone know how to get rid of it?

For some reason, he's taken a liking to the bathroom sink - he has a nice soft, plush bed to sleep in - but no, he'd rather sleep in a cold, hard sink!
Good thing I turned on the light before turning on the water!

It has been my experience that when the real cold weather hits, this will come to a temporary halt as sinks get really cold no matter how warm you may keep the room because the coldness gets transmitted through the pipes. I have stated before somebody should fix old sinks up from junk yards and make them into cat beds. Big opportunity here for some enterprising individual since every cat I've ever known is just like your cat and mine, SINKS RULE!

I know how you can get rid of that. It's really quite easy. Just turn the water on and I'm pretty sure it'll disapear real fast!

Oh, that's a catafoofafungi and quite harmless. In fact, it's considered good luck to have these growing in your sinks. But beware! Don't toss water on it!

Funny because I have a remarkably similar hairy thing growing in my sinks all the time...although this "furrball" is white! I did acidentally turn the water on while it was growing in the sink & boy...that hurt.

I sur ehope you have a big sink cuz if that "furrball" gets as big as his brother did....you'll need a new sink!

Thta's a fatal mistake I made. I did replace my sink last year and inadvertently forgot to correctly size my sink to the appropriate "furry growth" depth.
Now instead of fitting fine, my 18lb calico growth now flows over the edges of the sink.
