When Puff first came into the pet store I noticed that he has fat pockets on his belly right beside his back legs. I feel them regularly to make sure nothing is hardening. And I plan to have the vet look at it at his next visit. But is this something I should worry about? Should I put him on a diet?

I'm actually not sure how much he weighs. My guess is around 10-13 lbs though. And he's suppose to be about 9 months now.

Is it on the belly and kinda hang down and waddle when the cat runs? It may just be a fat pad. Cats can get these after they're spayed. My vet said it's completely normal and doesn't even mean they're overweight.

Yep that's where it is. Though is it the same for males?

I have seen this on females myself. Never hurts to have your vet take a look though
