Because the chocolate you have tried isn't good enough to get you hooked
it has to be good chocolate!!! You expect 'cheaper' chocolate in cakes etc

I never have! I love me some Malley's chocolate though, especially their chocolate covered pretzels

Never tried it or heard of it. Probably because I'm not a chocoholic. Godiva is the only better chocolate I've eaten and there's a huge difference compared to the ordinary chocolate bar/candy. Bella says Green & Black is at Kroger. That's do-able. I was thinking if Lindt was available only at malls, it's completely out. But I looked it up and it is apparently available at Target.

I only like the lemon grass filing from Lindt, sometimes in rare seasons they have these wild berry truffles they are to die for, other wise IMO the chocolate isnt great.

I'm the same way actually. I love chocolate fudge cake, like chocolate ice cream, no to chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate candy bothers the back of my throat for some reason. Except Lindt - it is exceptionally smooth and I can easily manage to eat a few pieces occasionally.

Swiss Chalet (chain of special chicken restaurants here in Canada) give out a little box of 5 chocolates with every "festive" meal. They usually have a special meal during the Holiday season - Chicken with stuffing, cranberry sauce and choice of potato and if you order that particular meal you get the chocolates.
