I was feeding Mick the 9 Lives dry stuff but it doesn't seem to be very good for him. He's 11 so he needs a good quality senior food, and he's overweight so I want him to have good nutrition.

Can anyone reccommend a good food? A friend of mine only feeds her dog the nutromax natural or something...available at petco or whatever. I'm looking for something good.

Thanks!

If you would like him to loose weight, you might consider working with your vet on a diet plan, too. The other thing I found is that canned food diets tend to be lower carbs & my kitties stay leaner on them. I feed canned 2x a day & free feed dry. You might consider doing a forum search(ask if you aren't sure how) to see what are some good foods. There are so many out there!

I just recently switched to Eagle Pack and my cats seem to love it plus it's high quality food. I'm not sure where all it's available but if you go to their web site they have a list of local stores that carry it (based of zip code) and a link to on-line suppliers. They also carry a dry food for less active indoor kitties which helps w/ weight control. Just remember that cat weight loss should be very gradual.
