Chews on Tape

So, my cat, Luna loves to chew on tape (like packing tape on boxes, rolls of tape, or things that crackle like tape.) I'm wondering if this is a problem. Whenever I hear her doing it I take it away from her and keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't swallow any of it. Though i've seen her occasionally chew on the tape on a box for a second then leave and go away. She also likes to chew on pens and rubber/plastic things. I don't know how to keep her from doing it when I'm not around (when I'm around I just tell her "no" and she stops)

How about just keeping or storing the tapes so she won't get to them? Maybe more cat toys?

Elastics are very dangerous - can get all tangled in their intestines, so be really careful to keep them put away (same for string or thread - they can't spit it out so it just keeps going down).

My Jordan also LOVES tape. I don't get it, but this is the same cat that likes the smell of bleach so I just stopped wondering. I had to put away all tape & things that have tape that he can tear off. I don't know that tape would do anything. One would thing tape would digest, but since I don't know I just keep it away from him.

She has toys a-plenty. I definately spoil her. But so far she only likes two tyes of toys - catnip mice made from real fur, and small foam or puff balls that can be thrown around. She also likes the sticks w/ feathers on them, but those (as well as the catnip mice) don't last too long.

i also tried getting her the smallest flexible plastic dog bone and she does like chewing on that...at least it keeps her from destroying my pens!
