Bad day over but better day comimg!

Today was a bad day - my car broke down and I couldn't get to work, my brother couldn't come pick me up for a while, one of my assistants called in sick (but went in this afternoon after finding out what happened to me).

My car is (partially) fixed - the link pin was fixed but the mechanic said I need another $500 in brake work soon. Hopefully I'll have a new car by Christmas. So I rented a car for the weekend so that I could go down to New Jersey and bring my new kitty home. I'm getting real excited about Bickford coming into the family. He'll never replace Freckles, but I think I'm honoring Freckles' memory by taking in another kitty who needs me. An older kitty who wouldn't do well in a shelter. I'll post pictures next week.

I can understand that. I turned into the driveway to go to work and some lady was stopped by the bus station to, I guess, let her kid out to go to the bus. I started around her and she pulled forward and smashed the passenger side of my car. The passenger door looks like a crater on the moon. I went down to an insurance adjuster this afternoon, and he took pictures, and drawings and whatever, but I still don't know if they are going to make MY insurance take care of it. This is unfair, it was NOT my fault. Oh yes, my passenger side mirror is dangling like a christmas tree ornament. At least, thank goodness, no one got hurt. But I feel like screaming.

Oh, cars breaking down is the worst..Hopefully things start looking up..That will be exciting to get a new car!!
