Smelly poo....

Is he eating and drinking OK? Is he playing or is he doing a lot of sleeping?
I would take him into the vet for a fecal test to rule out certain medical issues such as coccidia. Then if all medical issues have been ruled out, and you know it's just the odor, i highly recommend Arm & Hammer Multi Cats - it works wonders!!

He's eatin and drinkin loads and he did do a fur ball or sick thing the other day. He's active and coming back from outside a bit like he's been in a fight. No wounds tho. He's sleepin a bit more, not much...
Is he still an indoor/outdoor cat or is he strictly indoor now?

what food did you change from??? and too >>>??? was it over a two week period??
What are you feeding him? Poop doesnt have to smell like something just died. If he is fed a high quality food his poop should smell horrible.
Also, if he is indoor/outdoor he most likely got into something he shouldnt have (i.e. garbage, roadkill etc.)
