Anyone travel with their cat? I'm thinking about it. But I'm looking for other opinions. It's kind of expensive. I may just break down and get another cat. I'm just not sure. I'd love to hear what y'all think! I'm not sure about getting another cat just because I don't know how Monte will act. what if he doesn't like the new cat? What if they fight, or what if Monte gets mad at me for bringing it home? But I'm gone for 2 weeks and even though someone is looking in on him, I still feel bad that he's there all by himself. What to do, what to do.

HI!
I have two cats and we travel for a few weeks at a time and they are fine! My inlaws check on them twice a day and they are happy because they have each other for company!!

We are driving to Mexico City for Christmas and we have decided to take the cat. We have managed to find pet friendly places along the way. In our case, you have to get an Internation Health Certificate issued 72 hours before you cross the border, but we are only a day from the border so no problem. Niether of us has ever travelled with a cat before, not like this. We have made up a list of all the things we need like portable litter boxes, etc. and although there may be some down sides we are expecting up sides, mainly because we really do not have anybody we can trust to leave the cat with and know that it is going to be fed and brushed properly, etc., and besides, he is our little baby.
