a child or children for Christmas? At Wal-Mart they have what they call teh Angel tree.It has childrens names all over it.They list their sizes and what toy they really want for Christmas. The kids are all kids that don't have alot of money and their parents are trying to do all they can. We have donated for the last 3 years and I've already got ours for this year also.He is a little boy of 2 and for a toy, he asks for anything!!

Do any of you have that around your house? Do any of you sponser a child/ren?

It's right up front as soon as you walk in(at ours)............on a fake Christmas tree.If you don't see it, maybe ask if they have one.
Let me scan the little Angel and post what it looks like. Give me a few!!

We don't have that at ours (although I would probably do that too) but we give money to a a company that provides Christmas dinner to the needy and homeless, they have some corporate sponsors that give them money and food at cost prices so for every $2.58 you give it provides a full dinner for a person. We also buy a load of toys for the local fire dept who collect them and bring them to children who wouldn't be getting a Christmas otherwise.

That is so cute, our Salvation Army just collects toys, they don't specify at all - its such a good idea to be knowing what age etc you are buying for so that they don't get too much of one thing - I always worry with ours that they will get too much stuff for a certain age group or boys/girls etc.

That's so sweet!! I haven't one of those tree things but at the Warehouse (which is probably like Walmart) they have big trolleys and you can buy a toy and put it in there and they donate it to the kids. I once read a book about the Christmas angels though, it was really good though I can't remember what it was called, it was about a little girl called Katie who wrote that she wanted a family on her angel.
