Update on the kittens Valiant and Brave at the AAWL. Apparantly
they have been speutered.
This is good because it means they are progressing towards adoption and getting out of the shelter.

Thanks to the kindness of this board I have someone who is willing to help
me get them out, thank the Lord!

I also have possible homes for at least one, once I get them back to my place and work on them loving them down and recouperating them from their ordeal at the shelter. It would be with a co-worker who treats her 2 kitties GREAT home.

They will have had all their vaccines and been spay/neutered, which is good - I could not have afforded that myself. I just put out 180 for 2 cats to have their vaccines updated and be wormed let alone fixed! Geesh! So for a total of 200 bucks each kitten will be fixed, up to date on vaccines and ready to go. Pretty affordable I guess.

I spent 300 initally on both of them - getting them seen in the beginning. And I won't get a penny back. But its okay, so long as I can find them both loving understanding forever homes!!

Keep praying we can get them soon!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Kudos to you for getting this done!

Rescuing can be VERY expensive if you have to do it all on your own. Believe me, I know! That's why we always encourage people to simply leave cats alone if they can't afford to spay or neuter them and there are no local low-cost services, or people or organizations to help.

Yes don't I know it. I am spending 208 dollars every 2 months on chow and wet food (6 x11 dollars at Costco for 1 25 lbs bag chow and 15 dollars x6 for 48 cans of wet food) for my feral kitties plus own cats. Doesn't include the amount I pay for litter either, LOL!

Also TNRing on my own, 45 dollars a pop, one trap and limited time to do it.

Fingers crossed - am starting up trapping again (since all mamas were nursing and babies might have been caught and killed in traps) now to do that. 4 mamas 4 juvies 1 male that hangs round. Sigh. And probably a preggers Mama. Maybe I'll catch her first, LOL...

A NEVER ending story.

Prayers for me with Brave and Valiant finding one more GOOD home
and me getting both placed ASAP!

(Not mine, LOL) I am over subscribed with 4 of my own - 2 oldsters and 2 rescues from my neighbor hood - the tailess Manx from Christmas 2004 and the little Siamese orange tabby (looks like a golden Mau!) kitty in april 2006.

The little Egyptian Mau look alike is a dear heart cat, and deserve a splendid home. Will be showing her in the new year at adoption fairs...

Cheers to all who do this work, and thank god for you & yours making the world a better place one step at a time!
