I just had another suggestion for helping remove the loose hair on your kitty. I use one of those masking tape lint removers. It doesn't hurt the kitty and it picks up the loose hair. Then you just throw the full tape strip in the garbage, and you don't have to take all of the hair out of the brush. Nippie has a hair ball at least once a week. We use to have two or more but I started buying special hair ball food and mixing it with his normal food. Sometimes when things are really bad I use that malt flavored hairball relief stuff. I have never used the cod liver oil but I do hear that it is very effective.
