Well, I recently finished up decoating the house and it made me wonder, what does everyone else use? Clear or color lights...or do you use both?
I used clear this year- it think it looks more elegant of the tree with the ornaments i have. The star on the top of the tree is a LED light star and changes colors though. I'm still deciding if i wanna keep that one up or put my clear light star on it.

I use clear lights. I think they are much prettier than the colored ones and as you said, make your tree look more elegant. I love the way they look shining out from the dark green branches of the tree!

We have the same problem over here, so I twist strands of colored and clear, and it makes sort of a pastel look. A few days ago Aaron did say that he thinks he may want to go with all clear this year though.

Absolutely definately clear lights. Blue lights especially look weird, but that's just IMO.

When I decorate, I only use blue lights on my tree. It comforts me, for some reason, whereas the all white or clear lights just seem too harsh to me.

What is it with men and their multi-colored lights??? Earl and I have the same problem - I would prefer either white or blue lights. He HAS to have the multi-colored lights. so we have bajillions of lights of both white and multi.

i have a fiber-optic tree [it's the only tree i have] & the fibers alternate between colors. didn't really fit any of your categories, so i voted other. i'm not much of a decorator, at least not at home. i do a bit at work, tho.

I love colored. sometimes we do a mixture of both. I think we will have colored lights on the tree this year and for the icicle lights if we do them this year outside the house, they are clear.
I can't wait to get the tree so I can decorate it!

I agree; blue lights are comforting to me too.

We've always had colored and I can remember when we got our first twinkle bulbs! Anyway, I liked to sit and stare at the lights with my glasses off. Oooh, pretty...

My fiber optic tree "died".
