Kitten putting paws to my mouth...

which i dont mind, its the whole bite my nose thing i can do without
Just kitten curiosity.
That is so cute.
Gizmo often puts her paw on my face in a gentle pat when we are sleeping in the bed together, though once she connected with quite a right hook (it was in a dream and she must have had a fight with someone!)
Oliver's almost 5 and does this, so it's not just kittens! He does it when we're snuggling in bed... he often reaches a paw out to touch my face or hand or any part of me kinda like "hey mama, I'm here purring and cuddling with you... I love you!" I think it's so cute!
Sometimes I think that they are intrigued by the feel of the air coming out of your mouth.

I have at least 3 cats that do that - 2 of them were my bottle fed orphans and I don't think they ever grew out of kittenhood entirely. The other is a former feral who is 10 years old and still likes to bat at my mouth.
Davidson does this - while he's cuddling with me, its like he's petting my face too!

This is why the BEHAVIOR forum is my favorite. People all the time think they have a weird cat but thanks to this forum they can find out their cat is absolutely normal! Yes, my cat does that and I would say he is a somewhat normal cat.
Chynna loves to touch my face with her paw when we are snuggling in bed. She's even been known to put a paw in my mouth sometimes. I just let her, unless of course it's right after she's used the litter box.
Abby doesn't do the paw thing, but she likes to tilt her head sideways so that her nose is horizontal across my lips and my lips are over each of her eyes. Then she gives hard head butts.

Arwen likes to sniff inside my mouth. It started when she was a kitten (she was handreared), and now she occasionally checks it out, especially of course when i ve just had something to eat. If i open my mouth, she ll put half her head in there (she s six months so soon it wont be possible anymore)
