Hi there! I am new to this board and so far I have found this website very informative! My himi Chloe is currently taking medicine for a UTI and seems to be doing really well. No mistakes, no messes, and she doesn't even mind the liquid medicine. Aside from her eating a bit more than usual (its hard to tell with a 5 pound animal) I noticed her breathing is almost silent. Before you could hear her make her little breathing noises and snorts while playing with toys. This all makes me think she had a URI as well. When we adopted her she was suffering from an URI and was medicated even with her first week with us. She has an extreme persian face, so the cleaning of the eyes/nose is a daily thing for her.

What are the signs of a URI? What vitamins can I give her for maintence?

By the way, they eat Natural Choice complete care.

I think you may mean URI as in respitory... UTI is urinary...

I will sound like a broken record but TALK to your VET about any possible viatmins....

the food is good but if this continues you may want a allergy formulation

Your cat must be young because of it's weight as my Himmy is already over 8 pounds at 7 months which makes me wonder whether your kitten has been vaccinated. Your poor kitten may feel under the weather with a fever, goo in her eyes, gunk coming from her nose, and she refuses to eat are common symptoms. Symptoms can last 7 to 14 days. As Sharky indicated, I would see your vet.
