Someone emailed me asking if I know what white spots in her outdoor cats eyes could be. I have suggested taking them to the vet. Hopefully she will. She read somewhere that it could be caused by the Florida humidity. I have never heard of that and it isn't even a humid time of the year. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thank you!

I agree about the vet. Unfortunately its out of my hands. I don't think cataracts are likely only because she has several cats and most of them have the spots. Poor kitties!

Could it be some sort of herpes, or a fungal infection? Those cats really need to be treated - ask her what she'll do if they all go blind!

I forwarded the info to her, thanks. I mentioned blindness too, which is a very real, scary concern, but I am trying to not alienate her. If I am too harsh it could be counter-productive. I'm suprised that she hasn't taken at least one to the vet. I suggested that (at least for now). I have thought her to be quite responsible in the past, but I don't know her well.
