I took today off from work because I have an entrance exam for one of the nursing schools I am applying to at 2:30. I ran a couple of small errands this morning and now I am settling down to study and catch up on some homework. I am sitting at the bar in the kitchen with a mug of hot chocolate (marshmallows included of course!), a yummy pumpkin spice candle lit, and the Christmas tree lit up in front of me. It's rainy and kind of cool outside so I feel all nice and cozy in the house. I actually don't mind being stuck inside studying and doing homework

Now that is nice Tanya! I had a spicey yankee candle tart melting yesterday that Chris (captiva) sent me because i wanted to get in the christmas mood and it did the trick

I'm grocery shopping tonight so marshmallows have been added to my shopping list

Sounds like a very nice day for you Tanya!
Its really gloomy outside here today, so after I get done running my errands, I'll be doing the same thing! (Except studying )

Back from my test! It took 4 hours
I think I did really well. I found it easier than the entrance exam I took at one of the others schools.

That's great news!

When I was applying to nursing school we had an "exam" too. I can't remember how long it was, but the questions were pretty common sense, and then there were the math questions. Lots and lots of math questions dealing with fractions and ratios etc because as a nurse you have to be able to calculate drug dosages sometimes and it's important to be good at math. Our interview was the same day so I found out how I did on the test before I left the building that day. Then it was a matter of waiting to find out if I got one of the coveted spots. Turns out I got accepted to both schools of nursing that I applied at. I picked the one closest to where I lived because I hate travelling more than 5 minutes to get to work or school, LOL

Hope you did well and get a spot

I received my results in the mail yesterday!
I scored in the 92 percentile... meaning that I scored better than 92% of the people who took the exam!
This means I have a GOOD chance of being accepted at this particular school.
