My husband and I are good friends with a couple with two kids under the age of three. Every time I see them the kids go through some sort of baby meltdown where they turn a lovely shade of red that I am thinking about having color matched for my dining room when I buy a house. It just seems that I bring out the worst in small kids. They are projectile vomiting, screaming loudly, or just being a pain in the rear.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I used to think that I did. My friends daughter had earaches, stomach flu's, allergic reactions etc when I was around. It just turned out that she was a sick child. I am now a girl guide leader and the girls absolutely love me and listen to me which is great. I'm sure they will warm up to you sometime.
Sometimes with kids you never know.

If it was just one kid I'd toss it up to the winds of fate, but it seems like it's every child I encounter. When our friend's kids were over they tried to scale my cat tree like it was some sort of toddler toy. I guess I just don't understand them.
