My cat and his blanket..

My 1 year old cat (Mittens) is neutered but still gets a hold of a blanket or sweater (anything soft) and starts humping it and dragging it everywhere. Is that normal?? He does it quite a bit everyday. He didnt do it for awhile but then when I got my new kitten that is female he started it again.

I have two neutered male cats, in fact have always had male cats. Although they lose the "ability", they often do not lose the instinct. My older male cat humps his brother who will roll over on his back, thinking the other wants to play. Don't worry, nothing is wrong.
