i just love to tell him sporta is used here like the old roman used the gladiator games
to control the simple people so they dont pay attention to the important stuff, along with i really cant watch something where men go around spanking the butts of other men..

please note i am doing this just to mess with him. so dont hate me
DH is just mystified by the whole thing. Mostly someone will come up to him and say "Are you going to watch the game tonight?!"

His response, "Oh, I have a raid tonight. But I do like those Oilers!" (The Oilers haven't played in the NFL for 5 years. We just found that out last year when someone asked what football game was on TV)

Movin' on up!
It takes a "real man" to step up and do ANY job, that needs doing. My dad spent 26 years, in the Marines. He has ALWAYS pitched in, around the house: cooking, cleaning, baking (Mom was always a lousy cook). Since my mom's stroke, he has done the housework, laundry and Mom's personal care. He bathes and dresses Mom, does her hair and even puts her lipstick on her.

Over the years, he has bathed, bottled and diapered grandbabies and now great-grandbabies.

My own son helps HIS wife, around the house. Near the end of Sam's last pregnancy, Mark did the sweeping and mopping. He bathes and diapers the baby and takes the twins to potty.

I'm proud of my men

Actually, yes they are
From left to right they are;

Turvy Demeter; Grand matron of the tribe, my very first cats, oldest at 16
Diva Etcetera D'Calico; her way or the highway
Mischief Mistoffolees; house muscle, smak-talking ex-stray thug kitty
Blondie Rumpleteaser; quiet, reserved, reclusive, but a lovebug at bedtime
Hobo Skimbleshanks; rode into the factory where I work in a railroad boxcar
Peanut Butterum; deaf kitty, gives little "licky kisses"
Sassy Sasparilla; Peanut's bestest buddy, acts as her "ears"
Trace Tumblebrutus; smashing white kitty with 3 legs
Cabela D'Pollicle; was my sister's dog, but they moved and she couldn't go, so she moved in with us. The cats all over her.

And here is one of my several "stuff" shelves. The brass lamp, the black lantern, and the green lantern in the middle are antiques, the rest are reproductions.

What kind of loaf pan are your using, shiny, dark, glass?

I've tried all 3, and like the glass the best. I think it's just because I can see how the crust is doing, and I'm one of those people that are picky about crust

I don't think I'll ever forget the day that my dad was home alone and couldn't even make himself a lunchmeat sandwich!

My exhubby couldn't even fry an egg. And those lamps and lanterns are beautiful. I still have my grandma's oil lamp. We use it when the power goes out too.

lol....well, Colin is definitely still a manily man...but if it gives you a good laugh- he can sew- very well actually
He always takes in my pants when they're too big on me- he has a sewing machine and everything
If any of his friends ever knew though, they would never let him live it down
But hey- it saves up money on taylors, and things of that nature. My brother-in-law Jason can sew well too. I think it's funny that my sister and I don't even know how to use a sewing machine, yet those two manly men do

I'm the one with the toolbox, soldering iron, drill, saws, etc., not my husband. (But he took care of our daughter when she was a baby.) My sister fixes their family's cars, washing machine, clocks...
