WOW! He's lovely! He looks exactly like a kitty my dad had in the seventies, his name was Vietnam, or Nammie. I never knew him but apparently he was a tough boy.

What a beautiful kitty! He looks like my sisters cat!

If they hadn't said how old that cat was, I would have guessed he was like7 or 8. He looks fantastic for that age. I too hope that he's able to break the record, he looks like he could easily live another 2 years or more..

That is amazing! I wish I could have had my RB babies for 36 years and more.

He looks great, too. I've heard of a few very rare cats living into their thirties, but always pictured them as rarely being awake!

That's fabulous if it's true. I would be very happy if my cats lived that long and were still happy and healthy. Color me skeptical but a picture of a black cat with the date of 1973 doesn't mean a whole lot to me. It could be any black cat and some people will say anything for 15 minutes of fame.
