Mr Jinx afraid of my mom's Dachsund

Well, today I brought Mr Jinx to Thanksgiving day dinner at my mom's house, I brought him in a carrier, and tried to introduce him to Hans, my moms Dachshund, Hans wanted to make friends with Mr Jinx, he was licking him, and he rolled over on his belly for Mr Jinx to pet him, but Mr Jinx ran and hid in the carrier. It was funny as all heck.

I'm assuming that Jinx is a cat. Most cats do not like traveling and socializing on the spur of the moment. If Jinx did not know the dog, I'm not surprised at the reaction. Most cats take days/weeks to get used to a strange animal.

Cats have different social rules then dogs. I'd leave the cat home next time
