some can be ready at 4 mths............
so watch out if you are letting your female out cos you think she too young..........that might not be the case ! Best to keep her in until you have her spayed

6 months is way too young to be having a litter, in any case they should be spayed to prevent it ever happening in the first place!

Zoey by all estimates was 4MONTHS... she was feral and had already nursed her litter when I adopted her at about 8 months

Kandie was a housecat who went into heat at 4.5 months

I also had thought that cats could not get pregnant til 6 months. I found out the hard way though when my cat got preggers at 4 months and GAVE BIRTH at 6 months!

It's very dangerous too! I'm surprised my cat was able to do it! She wasn't even full grown when she gave birth! She had a pretty hard time and was definately not ready for something like that and I wish I had known then because I would have gotten her spayed earlier.

4 months...which is why the feral cat clinic I volunteer at spays/neuters as long as the kitten is 2 lbs.
