I give my kitties raw necks all the time - it's REALLY good for them, and their teeth. Not only that, you'd never, EVER give a cat a cooked bone
. That could splinter and they could choke on it, or get lodged in their guts, or anything. I'm really glad you put the picture back up! Sooo cute.
When Sashka was a little girl, the first noise I ever heard from her was a growl when I gave her a chicken neck and then made the mistake of going within a 10 metre radius of her while she was eating it! Lol...an eight-week old kitty growling is something you've gotta hear!

I know - isn't it funny! Sashka had never made a sound except her little coughy, spitty hiss ... but the first time I gave her a chicken neck she growled at me and dragged it off under the bed! As if I was going to take it off her! Lol... it was the only time she ever growled - over particularly high-value food. Chicken necks especially! It's so endearing...Originally Posted by rosiemac

Wow, I woke up this morning to all these great comments. Now I really feel foolish for being so paranoid.
Can you believe I spelled his name wrong?? Oh well, my mom did that to me once so I guess I shouldn't feel too bad LOL.
Squeak growled at me too when I had to go take the neck away from him after he ran into the house with it LOL.

Freddy got the larger portion of it actually. Once Squeak gave up on it, he finished it off. The others didn't get any! There's more in the fridge though.
