My cat is having her kittens, so far there is three, but the third one came out with the, "food sac" [not to sure what its called] still attached to its belly, and I was just wondering if "mommy" will eventually, take care of it. Shes been eating the bigger part slowly, but i'm just a little curious and worried.

Every kitten is normally born with the placenta (that is what the sac is called) attached and normally the momcat removes it and eats it as she cleans up the kitten. So don't worry. As to the first ones, you may not have seen them come out, but if you are sure they were born without the placentas appearing and they have not come out when she has finished completely giving birth, then I would call your vet to get advice. Occasionally a placenta is left inside the mom's uterus, and this can cause infection. But probably there is no need to worry - I don't want to scare you at a happy time.
