but it worked!
Every morning, Ginger wakes me up at right around 5:00 (my alarm is set for 6:20) with trills and headbutts.
That part I like.
We love and snuggle for a few minutes....and then....
she starts hunting for Monsters Under the Blanket. I can tell her "There are no munsterz now, Ginger" but that doesn't deter her. She knows they are there, even if they stay perfectly still. Toes, knees, elbows, even tummies are considered sleeping monsters.
All I want to do is get that last hour of sleep!
Well, this morning Trent jumped up on the bed while I was trying to explain that there are no munsterz at this hour to Ginger. He watched for a couple minutes, then took off from the headboard and chased Ginger off the bed and down the hall. They were gone for a few minutes and the next thing I knew, Ginger came back and laid down next to my leg and did not even so much as paw at the blankets for the rest of the morning.
I sure wish I could have been in on that little kitty conversation!
