My mom lives 7 hours away, and her husband just got laid off...so they may not be able to make it for Christmas

Can I get some vibes that they will make it?? My brother would come too!! I haven't seen him in over a year

Thanks guys.

I'm so sorry to hear that, here's hoping they win the lottery or somthing good happens that will get them to your place for Christmas. I know it's hard to be away from family for the holidays.

i know it can be rough, i have spent several xmas with no family around me.
Or in places where they did not see xmas as anything special, It does kinda make one feel alone. So i do hope that you can find a way to be with your family.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your thoughts and vibes

I just had a major breakup like 5 months ago, and could really use all my family around for the holidays this year. I don't want to be a lonely wreck...

And to make matters worse, my birthday is a week before Christmas too

Heres hoping something works out for you...Im trying to adjust to the thought of not seeing my family at all this year....we always have a BIG celebration at my Aunts, but since I moved 3000kms away to Edmonton in September, and was home Nov 10-14, I cant afford another trip. So me and manytoes it is. Luckily my younger cousin also lives here and isnt making it home either will be able to have dinner with me!
And maybe my long distance S.O. that I left behind in Ontario will come to...I like Fwans idea about the movie rentals....And hey, lots of the West Edmonton Mall is open on Xmas day.....

They would be driving, but they might not be able to afford the gas and everything else.
