We have family like that and worse. Which is why we moved to Ky and no longer associate with family in Ohio.

However my brother and his wife are just as bad. Matter of fact I'm mad at them right now because Friday Judy ( my SIL ) invites us to Thanksgiving dinner. I thought it would be great to finally get the whole family ( in ky) together so I said sure. Well today she calls and says "My hand hurts I don't think I can cook. " :censor::censor::censor:!

I invited them last year to my house when I cooked and they cancelled two days before Thanksgiving.

Matter of fact I don't remember when was the last time we all got together.

But we are going to wait till Friday and then me, Lance, Sierra, my mom and Lance's dad are going out to eat at a nice restaurant.

Next year hubby says were going to Ohio so his mom can cook.

I don't guess we will ever get the family together because they are anti-social **.

Sorry for the rant. But I needed it.

This is why we have a "Friends" thanksgiving. Me and my little family of close friends get together and cook and share laughs and stories, and the kitkat is included. I believe that friends really are the family you choose. I am thankful for them.

In fact Mack, you guys come on over and have Thanksgiving with me. The only stipulation is you have to bring yummies, the biker boys, and kitty treats.

Sounds like a plan to me

I had the last straw tonight when even her boyfriend - who's always been nice to me, started being extremely rude. I went over to my Grandparents and broke down, I couldn't take it and needed to let it all out
My Grandpa told me that he thinks they are both insensitive jerks (Now you know its bad when a loving Grandfather says that about his own grandchildren). I'm extremely close with my family - they mean the world to me, I just don't understand how someone can totally disrespect their family like they do.

I get along with everyone else in my family, so well. And usually I get along w/ her too... but it seems like recently, she's just been really horrible....and I haven't done A THING to her!

I just hate when people are mean to me... or mad at me, I think I did something...when its really not my fault at all

I'm sorry that you have people like that in your family that make holidays unpleasant. I've never understood what these kinds of people get out of ruining something that should be great for everyone. I'm lucky my family gets along pretty well. Of course there are members that I like more than others, but no one stands out as rude or obnoxious.

Well I know one thing if my Grandma was alive and any of us kids disrespected her we would be waking up on the other side of the room with a knot on our heads. My Grandma was a wonderful woman but she didn't tolorate that kind of behavior. And I am glad she was like that. One time my sister and I were fighting and she cut a switch and made us sit down and my uncle kept grabbing my knee and she broke the switch on his arm. But we all acted descent when she was around and we all try to now although my family is a family of clowns we love aggrivating one another. But we are very close. And if one of us acted the way your cousin is we would have been escorted outside for a good old fashioned butt kicking.

Yeah, I think she could use a biff upside of the head with that laminated placemat.

How'd the dinner go, Kenz?

It was interesting - they were definately obnoxious, but I was nice and polite (just for my Grandma of course!) but I didn't say a word to them the whole day, and they didnt' talk to me. I figured the best way to keep it a happy day, was to keep my mouth shut

I am close to my family but there are a few members who cause problems and they simply don't invite them and my mother is actually one of them and she is my aunt's sister.
