Last month, a worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question was:

"Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure...

In Africa they didn't know what "food" meant.

In Eastern Europe they didn't know what "honest" meant.

In Western Europe they didn't know what "shortage" meant.

In China they didn't know what "opinion" meant.

In the Middle East they didn't know what "solution" meant.

In South America they didn't know what "please" meant.

And in the USA they didn't know what "the rest of the world" meant.

I am still trying to fathom why President Bush is not attending the World Conference on world pollution along with the 100 other world leaders. That brown cloud over Asia is not going to evaporate on its own, and if Bush wants the rest of the world on board his end terrorism program, he should be concerned about the pollution that is going on in their countries. Sorry, but I saw this on the news the other day and it really bugged me that he didn't at least send a delegate in his stead!

I totally agree Hissy! He should have sent some sort of a representative if he wasn't able to attend himself.

Bush's non-attendance has caused loads of upset - especially as the US is the world's largest polluter (cos it is the largest producuer and consumer).

But then the UK have just sent out the Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, who is known as "Two Jags" (yes, he has two Jaguar cars).

I was very shocked to hear some bigwig from the US government (was it Donald Rum-something?) saying that the US doesn't need agreement from the UN to attack Iraq. Very bizarre.

P.S. The initial post was a "joke"

I think that forward is right on target, although I can truly speak only for the comment on America. LOL
