Hi all, got a question. Boo did fine with NOT going after her babies since 6am Sunday morning. All day yesterday and all through the night last night she did amazing with them. But just a little bit while ago she popped her head out of her bed and started with that cry like she is in pain. I helped her out and checked the babies right away and all are fine. Boo just cryed and howled and was walking like she was in pain. Then she just laid on the side then her back, moving around very uncomfortable like she was in pain or something. Dr says cant give her pain meds cause some can kill cats and also can get in her milk and then effect the kittens. She thinks it is hormonal, and says not to leave her unattended with the kittens since she is going after them only when she has this episodes (no signs she is gonna have one either they just happened out of no where). **Q, has anyone gone through this before? I am emotionaly a wreck, I feel I cant help her like she needs me too. My husband really believes her not having a BM since the wee hours on Saturday morning has a big role in her crying and these episodes. Last night about 9 was her first urine since Saturday also. She is eating and drinking also just fine. She is a great Mom when she isnt having one of this spells. This was her 4th since Saturday early morning and first since Saturday early morning.
Please give me some advice I/we really need it right now, thanks.

If you are concerned...it may make sense to get a second opinion from a different vet. What did the vet think about the fact that she hadn't had a BM in a while?

Nothing about her not having a BM, just not to leave her alone with the kittens and said just have to hang in there with her and wait it out.

What a scary time for you to see your girl seeming to be in pain with nothing that you can do. If it does seem to get worse, I would immediately take her back in.

I do hope she is ok.

She seems fine now, they just happen without notice. Which is why she is never left alone with her babies. Between me, my huband and 4 kids we take shifts to make sure she is never alone and at night I sleep on the floor in the bathroom right next to her and the babies. My husband tried to move her, the babies and all her belongings lol right next to my bed so I can sleep in my bed rather then the cold bathroom floor but she got very uneasier and then we were really concern she would go after them so back to the bathroom "we" all went lol. She was having problems with BM's before her surgery and babies and this is why my Hubby believes this is whats wrong with her. Says its BM contractions she is having. So I tried to give her canned pumpkin but she dont take it. It sits there for hours lol. Anything else you might suggest to help move her along in that area lol? Please help....
