Oliver's Sore Shoulder

Does anyone have any information about treating my kittens sore shoulder?
He has been limping and favoring his left front shoulder. My vet examined him and says she can't find anything wrong, but she said some cats did have very soft joints. Well, he does not act like he feels well, and really limps badly. I really feel like he is in pain, even though my vet says thee is nothing wrong. He walks a bit and then just lays down. Does anyone have any information on soft joints, etc.? THanks ln

Time to get a second opinion - take him to see another vet.

Thanks for your suggestion! In addition to Oliver being recently adopted, I am using a vet that is new to me, having recently moved to the area. Although many people have recommended her, I am concerned about leaving his shoulder untreated and having him grow up with a limp because of it.

Oh, poor Oliver! There are some very excellent vets. I hope you find one soon. TCS has a lot of members. Maybe you should start a post in "The Lounge," where a lot of members go regularly, asking for names of good vets in your area. For safety/privacy reasons, please don't be too specific. For instance, naming your county rather than your town is safer.

Thank you for taking good care Oliver. Prayers for your little buddy.
