Oh sweety, I hope things start looking up for you. I'm sorry things aren't going well. We are all here if you need to talk..I am for sure, I have been there before..
its really uplifting to see all your comments of support
So here's the update.... took the boys into the vet and they are both on anti-biotics and got shots to get their low to mid grade fevers down. Good news, they both ate a little when we got home
and I successfully administered the meds, Hermes is not bad but Nemo is a tasmanian devil when it comes to getting stuff squirted down his throat
bad news is that based on their symptoms the Dr suspects panleukopenia, otherwise known as distemper
but they are both up to date on their vaccinations, so I, to be honest, am not worried *too" much about that. There are a couple differences in their symptoms, Nemo has diarhhea and Hermes has a URI, so
Hermes is showing a little more spunk, he's actually sitting on a scratching board right cleaning himself and Nemo is under the computer desk, laying there, but his head is up... I'm totally concentrating on the small things right now
I am hoping with all my might that my boys can pull through this, with TCS vibes I'm sure they will prevail, so keep 'em coming!!
Oh Katie, I haven't been on much lately and didn't even know Hermes and Nemo were not feeling well. I also hope you feel much better soon. Maybe your SS present will come soon!!!! I am so sorry and I feel like such a horrible friend
If there is anything I can do, you know my number and where to find me
Those kitties wouldn't have a life at all if it weren't for you. I admire you so much for all the hard work you do to ensure all your kits have a good life.
Here's some get better vibes for the boys! {{{{{}}}}}
Sending lots of healthy and strong vibes to the babies...and to you too!
Boy, did your post sound familiar! I can sure relate (to a point, fortunately the kits are healthy, knock wood, but getting along is another issue...). If you can't bring yourself out of this "funk" that you're in, even when everything else gets better, don't even question if you need to see your doctor about it. Like Betsy said, it is not just in your mind, it's not just a mood, and there is help. I got put on Cymbalta earlier this year after being off of anti-depressants for about 5 years. It has made a HUGE difference in my life, and allowed me to get through some very stressful times (buying a home, and introducing Ginger to the household).
