As some of you know, we picked up a new foster last week (little Cinder). Well she's been "quaranteened" upstairs away from my other 5 all week. I wanted to give her some "settle in" time. I was going to do intros this coming week, but surpise surprise - she did that on her own today.

I left at 10:30 this morning with my youngest daughter and my older daughter left at 12 with some friends (she lives upstairs in our home). Well, I didn't come home until around 6pm, but I came home to find little Cinder sleeping on my bed.
My daughter didn't shut her door all the way when she left and little Cinder has been "introducing" herself to the rest of the clan for the last 6 hours. I freaked out and put her quickly back upstairs. Checked her for "war wounds" - found none, checked the others for signs of a battle - none, found no clumps of fir or anything indicating a fight or tiff. I just wish I knew what went on in those 6 hours. I keep looking at them and asking "how was your day" and they just look at me - I get nothing!
I wish they could talk. They won't tell me anything.

One thing I can say - the clan has apparently already taught her the most important thing about living here - best sleeping spot - my bed! She looked quite comfortable there.
Great - and then there were 6.......

Well it seems like he intros went well ..... have you seen how they all react when shes out and you are there? That may give you some clue. I hope their intros without you went well!!!

No - I put her immediately back upstairs just in case it didn't go "that" well and they were a bit stressed. Figure I'll try tomorrow while I"m here.
I hope all went well without me, but is sure seemed so when I got home. They all greeted me as usual, were their normal selves like nothing had happened and there she was. So one of two things happened 1) the intros went very very smoothly or 2) She just found herself a nice little spot on the bed and never actually crossed paths with any of them (which with 5 others on this floor I find very hard to believe)

If they saw her as an intruder, I would think she would be hiding. Or they would be. With her sleeping calmly and them being calm, too, I would hope it went well. But 6 hours is a long time for anything to happen.
