It was a really good clinic....many more females than males and alot of them were young..so no babies for them.

Although I can appreciate the change in PACCAs approach to feral cats....the 'old notion' is still alive and active for most of the animal control facilities throughout the USA...which is why it is best to work with a TNR group whenever you have a feral cat colony.Originally Posted by ipw533
Just to dispell the old notion of cats captured by city animal control being put down automatically, let me say this: in Philadelphia cats are not captured by Animal Control but are turned into them. Some are euthanized, usually the sick and badly injured.
PACCA has an agreement with Petsmart--cats and kittens brought to them, when possible, will be spayed/neutered and then given to Petsmart for adoption--and they move pretty quickly....
