Here are some pics I took of the show, last night and today.
Today Jack did pretty well again, but not as well as yesterday. Yesterday he placed in the top 3 of breed in every ring, but today he only accomplished that in half the rings. I guess a little humble pie is a good thing...we wouldn't want Jack to get a big head...or me for that matter.
Tomorrow is another day and he's well on his way to making Supreme at record pace, so I'm very proud of him.
I hope you all enjoy the pics.

Jack waiting for the best of breed award

Jack being judged

Jack being judged and watched by my wife..see arrow. Now y'all know what the back of her head looks like.

Itsy being judged. He's been doing very well, with lots of top 3 placements and a final as 5th best all breed kitten

Impact being judged. He's also gotten many top 3's, but no finals yet.

I stood on a chair to get this overview of the showhall

Congratulations! Your boy is absolutely gorgeous
.

I'm not doing so well but we didn't go yesterday. Akeem is the friendlest as could be away from the ring but as soon as he gets in the cats just freak him out. I've never seen my cat hiss until today, let alone carry on the way he did. I was sad to have to pull him from 2 rings. I hope he calms down tomorrow. Its very embarrasing. I've tried to prepare him as much as possible by taking him out to Petsmart a minimum of once a week and he loves people but all the cat smells has him completely spooked.

Nice, and some great shots of judging. Congrats on the wins for all of them

Check out Charlie's pics - he's hard to photograph cause he's so quick

Thanks Natalie. Come talk to us tomorrow before the judging starts, maybe we can brainstorm to get your kitten less agitated. We've had a few kittens like Akeem in the past, who are as sweet as can be outside of the showhall, but become little monsters when they get to the judging area.
I like the way your kitten looks, I think he'll do well if he settles down.

Congrats!!!! I can only imagine how proud you must be! Will you be doing any shows in Northern California???? I'd love to come and see your crew!

And Miss Spotty Paws and Jack are my 2 favourite bengals - I can't wait to see how they're kittens would look!

Thanks Tiffany! Jack's tail is like a baseball bat. He's got the best tail of any bengal we've ever had. Good thing cats don't wag their tails much like dogs do, or we'd have lots of broken stuff around the place.

Thank-you Sarah! I'm extremely proud of Jack, he gets so much attention at the shows from the spectators because of his attitude. Everyone can tell he enjoys being there. His good looks are just the icing on the cake.
Northern Cali is a bit far for us...like 2500 miles away, so we won't be out there anytime soon. If they hold the "On Safari" show in Cali next year, we're going to go.

Thanks so much! Jack earned a whopping 1,250 points at this show. He needs another 1,180 points plus a "Best Cat" final to get his Supreme. That best cat is going to be tough, although he's gotten a couple of them in the past, he has to get another one while being a Quad in order to Supreme.
We have a show coming up in Florida in about 2 weeks, so he could do it then. Just have to do alot of hoping and praying.

It would be nice if everyone could have a great show season like we've had this year. I sure hope you and your Abby's rule next year.

Thank you! He's usually sportin' the "I'm the man" look.....and he managed to support the look by backing up and spraying in a few of the judging cages over the weekend. The little booger.
It's ok though, I guess some of the girls competing against him got him a little wound up. At least he doesn't spray in the car or his room, so we don't mind cleaning up after him at the show.

Thank-you, thank-you! I'm chomping at the bit to get Loki back into the rings this Feb.

Jack DOES have the best tail I've ever seen on a bengal!

OT, what is On Safari? I've heard reference to it a lot. Is it open to the public or invitation only? You show your cats there as well, yes?

On Safari is an annual show. The first day is just for bengals. So, a huge cat show, with bengals from all over the world competing. It's really amazing and up to this point we've lived vicariously through breeder friends who've attended, but in 2007 we need to go. Only the cream of the crop come out on top at this show. The owner of best bengal cat of the show, has some major braggin' rights.

I'm starting to get nervous now. Just 10 days until Jack shows again.

He has to get a "best cat" final at this show to Supreme.
