I can just see the double-takes of people driving by you on the highway, seeing two such stunning bengals looking out a window at them.

Congratulations! They are so beautiful. They probably freak a couple people out on the trip if they don't know anything about Bengals.

My animals hate the car ride to the vet and it is a little over 5 minutes away. I can tell your boys are real travelers. Looks as though they don't have a care in the world.

Maybe its because I'm a...
WOW!
I bet you've got at least a few people asking if those are leopards or something.
If it wasn't for the 6month quarantine in the UK I'd be saving/begging my parents for one of yours right now
I don't think i've ever seen such beautiful bengal cats, and I spend wayy too much time on breeder websites

Thanks everyone for the comments. I do appreciate all the kind things you all always have to say!

My cats do become veterans at an early age when it comes to traveling. Most of them take to it the first time. A few, we have to prove to them it's safe and fun, by making repeated trips. After that, they love it.

In my experience most bengals just enjoy it right off and are unphased by the comotion involved. The kitten that Eva (Snosrap5) purchased from me, had never been in a car prior to her picking him up and leaving with him. He had quite a long journey ahead of him, and from her reports back, he did amazingly well. I probably should add, that we expose our kittens to "stuff" early on. The cattery has a classic rock station tuned in most of the day, so all the cats are accustomed to different peoples voices, music, different sounds, etc. We also have lots of vistors and comotion, so the kittens get to see and experience that it's not a bad thing....vistors and "goings on" means fun for them. Bengals are gregarious by nature, so I believe all this helps them adjust naturally to a busy household or a calm one.

This may sound dumb, but we pride ourselves on the fact that our cats and kittens are not afraid of the vacuum cleaner. There is no insane scattering of cats when it's turned on. Some of them will even ride on it.

I guess one of the funny and interesting things that we experience on road trips to shows, is what I call the "did you see that?!" double take.
We'll be cruising along in the right lane, with a bengal lounging on the dash and maybe one peering intently out of the side window, when suddenly the car that was flying past us in the left lane will jam the brakes and slow down to pace us, so they can have a look. Always get a lot of grins and usually a thumbs up from the folks checking out the bengals. If Jack's in the car he's usually running his mouth while the people look, so that always brings a laugh.

In other news........Miss Spotty Paws will be going to her first show ever, around the middle of January. Ft. Walton Beach, Florida is the destination and she'll be showing with Jack, but competing in kitten class. I don't know how she'll do. I think she's stunning, but then I'm biased of course. We'll see what the judges have to say.

Is it ever a problem taking males and females to the same show together?

Kai, your story about the people in the car reminds me of the story one of my rex breeder friends told.

She was coming home from a show and they stopped at a fast food restaurant. They let the cats out of the carriers while parked and went in. Watched from the windows at the people who walked by - rex was sitting in the back window watching people.

They walked out to the car and overheard the conversation of the people debating whether or not it was a cat or dog sitting in the window!

Kai, when I was reading your post, I was going to mention that my cats aren't afraid of the vacuum either. But then you went on to say that they sometimes ride it!

Let me correct my thought. They don't run in fear. They keep a cautious eye on it. I have a kitten that will run toward it then take a few steps back. But I can safely say that none of them will ever take a ride on it! That just isn't going to happen. It must be that rock-n-roll music you have them listening to.

Eva,
That's great! It crossed my mind that you might be close, but I had no idea, you'd be close enough to see the show. This will be fun and you can meet all our bengal breeder friends that will be there as well.
Teri will be so excited, she loved your whole family!

I'll PM you with the info!

Good luck Handsome Jack!!! You know you don't have to prove yourself or anything, what with all the new testoterone in the house now, but I'd love to see you Quad!

Good vibes to you too Impact! You are one hot cat, and I look forward to hearing how you do.

Itsy, I'm wishing you all the best! I know you'll do well again. Tell your papa we need more pics of you to drool over so Jack and Impact don't keep hoggin the spotlight!

Good luck Nial! Have fun and take plenty of pics!

My George rides my cannister vacuum cleaner around as I am cleaning with it like it is his own personal bucking bronco ... so much so that we have taken to calling it "George's Trusty Steed, Electrolux". *wink*

I'm proud to announce that Jack made Quadruple Grand champion in his very first ring of the day! From this point on everything he does is one step closer to Supreme.

I'll have another update tomorrow night.
