Tomorrow my best bud and I are going shopping and I'm going to buy DH's Christmas presents. I got him a camera last year and he's been talking about being able to print pictures, so...

Consumer Reports had good things to say about the Epson model. (I think it's called PictureMate) Said it worked well and was the least expensive per print. (.20) HP's got a good rating but were very expensive per print, upwards of.50. Epson also has a model that will burn directly to CD as well, which is normally 299., but is on sale now for 239. I'm thinking that would be a great option because instead of trading pictures with his idiot hunting buddies, they could exchange CDs. (Yes, that is a whole 'nother rant. But let me just say, as far as hunters go, they are a decent group of guys. I think it's more to get away from it all and see who can tell the biggest lie around the campfire.)

So I plan to buy a compact printer with whatever accessories I can find, probably extra cartridges and paper. Is there anything else I should get? Does anyone have any knowledge of other printers?

After that we're going to Red Lobster for endless shrimp, talk some politics and cats.

PS...I got frosted too, but I have to figure out how to add that to the signature that I don't have. Hee hee...

The Epson is probably a little easier to use as the Canon spits the paper out the back of the printer before sucking it back in so you have to make sure the cables aren't sticking up
