I'm sorry you felt left out.That's why so many are getting the Frosted PM---even though they aren't wanting it.No one wants ANYONE to feel left out.

Yes,I sent my frosties out to 'members' who don't really frequent the lounge who had a siggy and had been online recently ,I figured if they didn't have a sig and hadn't been online then they probly wouldn't know what was happening.

To be honest, I'm not sure who started it here.I too think it is ADORABLE and felt VERY honored to be Frosted.The person who Frosted me,I don't know that much about.But, I thought........"wow, that was so sweet of her!!!".
I was glad to be thought of and included too.

I agree completely! and I think it's adorable as well and wouldn't ever consider it bothersome. I just think people are trying to include everyone that hasn't been frosted yet and I think people who can't be frosted because they aren't allowed to accept pm's..one of the mods should frost them just to include them if all possible.

I got frosted but didn't have the time earlier to tinker around with images.

It's really cute, it is, but I usually choose not to participate in this kind of thing. But I appreciate being included and hope everyone else had a lot of fun!

Thanks, everyone who frosted me Although I think the game would be more fun if, each time it was passed along, a different poem was used.. but then I love poetry - I may be in the minority in that.

As much as I think it's a fun game tho, I do have to say that I respect the fact that not everyone will want to participate, and not everyone will want to put the I've Been Frosted image in their sig. That's their right, and they shouldn't "Have" to put it in there just to not be frosted - a simple "please don't include me in this game" should be enough.

Maybe there should be a sticky at the top of the lounge where members who don't wish to participate in the fun of TCS should list their names so we can see who is not up for a laugh

Ok guys. Now, I will confess it was me who started this game and my hope was that nothing nasty would come of it - in fact, I never even considered anything nasty would come of it. Let's not start suggesting that asking not to be frosted means that you don't want to `participate in the fun of TCS' or anything like that. Veiled insults are still insults and it's not fair or nice - and doesn't fit in with the way things are done here.

People have every right to request that they be left out of things - which wasn't even the original request here! The original request was to just have a look and stop sending pms to the OP because she'd been hit, had participated and that was enough. Perfectly fair, perfectly reasonable and a wish that should be respected without three pages of comments about how you are a spoilsport (even if it hasn't been said outright).

Let's remember exactly what I intended this to be - fun - and let's not make people feel bad for asking to be considered once they have already participated. Enough is enough. We're all friends here

Pat&Alex expressed his/her opinion on the subject of the'frosting' and people respected that.

This thread has 'evolved' which is what happens to threads.

Don't start reading into what is not there....There is NOTHING nasty....
In fact it is your posts that have put a sourness on the whole thing by suggesting that things have turned nasty!!

I disagree - and I wasn't getting on my soap box, I didn't realise that trying to defnd someone was doing that. I was just pointing out that possibly too much attention has been paid to this whole thing. And the fact that the OP has received pms regarding her post has made it seem as though she is being a little antagonised by the responses to her original request.

To say `members who don't wish to participate in the fun of TCS should list their names so we can see who is not up for a laugh' is something I don't think is very nice, and given the fact that I indirectly started this thread by starting the frosting game, I felt compelled to speak up and apologise, in a sense, to anyone who does feel bad because they have asked to be left alone and have been criticised for it.

That's all, nothing further, not preaching just pointing out that maybe it's gone on long enough, or evolved enough - I'm glad that mostly the game has been enjoyed, which was the original purpose, and that we're getting into the spirit of things, and I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable - including you, so again I apologise if it didn't come across that way!

It's very hard to say how you feel sometimes, in written word, because your actual intent can come across sounding nasty when you didn't mean it to. Perhaps your comment was not intended to be unkind, and neither was my post either. So, again, let's all be friends!

LOL - no, I didn't! And you were one of the people I frosted to start this game!!

I don't think it's out of control, just that there seem to be some heads butting over this one particular thread. I'm just gonna stay out of it now, confess to being the instigator and apologise if it's caused annoyance for some members, and tell everyone else who's been frosted that LOOK OUT!!! You never know what's coming next!

Which is why it was suggested that anybody not wanting to participate in games should add their names in a list....so WE do NOT interfere with their 'privacy' OR give them any reason to post a thread like this and have ANY cause for people to put a damper on the games that the majority of members have enjoyed.....



OH and my head is butting no one....but thanks for the game It WAS good while it lasted.........
I'll keep my eye out for the next But if it's anything like this one then you can say goodnight because I think most of the members have had their toes burnt and won't want to participate.

I agree, 100%. It could have been worded better. It makes it sound like the ppl who don't want to participate "aren't up for a laugh", which is unnecessary and untrue - just because someone doesn't want to do this particular game doesn't mean they're "not up for a laugh".

I have to say I am with Alix on this one. Thank you very much to the people who frosted me, and I know it was done out of kindness, but I am just not in the mood for participating in this kind of thing right now - not that I ever join in chain letters, though I get sent quite a few. I am also in regular PM contact with a number of members on other issues, and it is annoying to have to keep looking in my mailbox when expecting another PM, only to find the generic 'frosting' one. Also, I love my new sig that Anakat made, and I really don't want to spoil it by adding something a little undignified. So, thanks but no thanks, and please don't feel slighted if you frosted me - I am grateful.

That's what I took `interesting private' to mean - pm standing for private message. I also took from it that she had felt compelled to write another post despite saying she was not going to anymore, because of this `interesting private'. There is a very good chance that I was wrong about that! But that's how I read it. I can't think what else it could mean, but I'm open to suggestions!!

I like the fact I have been frosted, esp from two of the people, but I dont have a siggy, nor know how to do one, and with 35 pages of threads to look through, dont really have the time nor the inclination to do it - a new thread with our names on would be excellent, I would certainly use it.

And for the person who said that those of us who dont want to join in shoudl have our pm's stopped while this is ongoing - that isn't a good solution, why should we miss out on people contacting us about something just cos of a game??
