I'm making a pillow for my mother in law for x-mas. Stupid me just sewed the thing backwards.

But the stitch is pretty and freakin tight!

Once I sewed a (short sleeve) shirt sleeve on upside down! Also I always seem to do my best sewing when the bobbin is empty!

lol. Haven't done that yet.

I got it off. But I got a little carried away with the seam ripper and cut part of the fabric.
I think it'll be ok.. It's just a gift right........

Oh no. Maybe just take it in a bit more so the rip doesn't spred.

I'm thinking I can glue it...lol. I have fabric glue here that might work. I could cut it off. I am gonna have to buy more ribbon anyway. I didn't get enough.

As long as she won't be washing it often, then the glue should be o.k.
I'd rather cut it off and buy extra to be safe.

I do quilts fairly often and have had to re-adjust things.I'd be affraid that after a few washes the glue would come undone and the pillow would fall apart.

It shouldn't fall apart. And I'll be sure to reinforce it with a little extra stitch there. It's just the fringe I'm putting around the edge that I cut into a bit. It won't look the best but it will be sturdy when I'm done with it.
