We Have a Baby Giraffe at our zoo now!!!!

We have a baby giraffe at our zoo now!!! Hehehe, some of ya'll know giraffe's are my absolute favorite animals- so i'm absolutely thrilled to announce the latest addition to the Memphis Zoo!!! Her name is Angela Kate. Her momma, Alta abandoned her at birth, but only a few days after Angela Kate was born, one of the other giraffes, Marilyn, gave birth to a still born and was grieving- so they put Angela Kate with Marilyn and now all is good . Angela Kate is 12 days old now and absolutely adorable!!!!! (I am soooo close to the giraffe's at the Memphis Zoo because I used to volunteer there in the summers and help clean the giraffe run. )

Thats so cool. When I was little Giraffes where my favorite too. We used to have babies every yeard. But now they dont let them have babies any more.

I already told Colin that when we have children- the nursery is going to be Giraffe themed

Awwwwwwww they have cute Noahs Ark themes with all kind of animals.

Helen, i'm gonna you for that!!! I'm 4'11 1/2" thankyou! (I went to the nutritionalist this month and she said that's what my height was) ....so no more "hehe, the baby giraffe is taller than nikki" jokes! Shame on you. Hehe, i'm gonna send you a gnome!

I said that because she weighs 120 lbs...and you would have to have Big rocks in your pocket to weigh that LOL Tiny is CUTE!!!!!

Oh, have I got the picture for you! I'll try to post it tomorrow . I saw it in a couple of places, one being my infertility doc's office, and I just had to find one! I think you'll really like it- It's in my daughter's room . Then again, if you like giraffes as much as my daughter , you may already have it!

The Memphis zoo has always been one of my most favorite places in the world to visit!! I love the Panda exhibit they put in a couple of years back and the new Polar bear exhibit!!

What a darling baby! So glad that the mommy who gave birth to the stillborn baby took over.
