OH Happy Day! McKenzie just ran across the yard and scooted under the house! She won't come to close to me, but she took the food I offered and scarfed it up. I have the door open now and her kittens upstairs in the hopes that she will come into the house to see them. At least she is home. She was gone almost 2 weeks!

See? she knows she has it easy there, a mom who adores her and keeps her kittens safe while she is gone.

I am sooooo happy for you!

Amazing how they can be gone for so long and always end up finding their way back to where they belong.

Such a happy ending!

Thanks all of you. Right now she seems happiest in the hay loft, we just put in 3 tons of hay so she is up almost to the rafters. I was able to pet her head this morning, and lordy she is so skinny. I will try and worm her tomorrow but I have been feeding her the choicest cat food I can get in my area and she has scarfed it all down. Her kittens were in the outside pen today (it sits flat on the ground) but she didn't even give them a glance. So I guess that is her message that her mothering days are behind her. At least she can't get pregnant again!

A bit late with this, but that is the greatest news. 2 weeks is a long time, thank God McKenzie is safely home.
