I just started selling PartyLite candles, and the first shipment came in a giant cardboard box - a big rectangle, twice as long as it is wide, and Ferris seems to have claimed it as his playpen.

I was going to toss it out, but it seems to have become a part of the kitty furniture now. I just step around it to get to my computer.

Inside it, you will find multiple kitty toys, bits of paper, and one red tabby.

I do!!! You should see my living room with all the boxes.DH says,"why don't you throw some of those boxes out? They're taking up half the living room."
I always look at them and think........would the kits like this one.......would it be too small..........be too big................how long will it last.

who else is guilty? SPEAK UP!!!
me! let me see, now - i know i have at least 6 boxes, plus about 5 box lids laying around the house right now that are in current use!

defiantly am guilty of this. One of my cats will squeeze in to the smallest boxes. Sadie stuffed her self in a box that had a medium sized hair dryer in it. IT was soooooooooooo Cute I even have the picture to prove it.

Guilty as charged. Every new box that comes into the house becomes a kitty toy. They get bored with the old ones after a while, so I try to rotate them.

Carly accidently took a ride down the stairs one time. She was a bit shocked but stayed in the box.

I'm guilty. I save a boxes for a couple days until the kitties loose interest. I also save water bottles and kitty litter containers for my dogs to play with. I switch the 2 bottles out twice a day (they get destroyed) and the containers get switched once a week.

Yep, she still loves them but only if they are in the family room where there are no stairs.

I do this all the time. It drives hubby crazy. I'll leave paper bags in the kitchen until he gets rid of them. We usually leave boxes out for a bit but he eventually tosses them. What a party pooper. I think it's fun for them to have a new play thing for awhile!

It seems that is the ultimate purpose of cardboard boxes and I am ashamed. Just yesterday, I loaded the back of the Jeep with boxes to toss. I must go get them and build a condo in the back bedroom. These are the sturdy boxes that copy paper is delivered in at the office. But ... you know how the lids to those boxes are the shape and size of a litter box? Do not -- repeat ... DO NOT ... put the lid on the floor by itself!

People keep asking us if we are about to move lol. I generally put a blankie in some of them so they can be comfy when all worn out from playing so hard

Ohhh i'm soo guilty... We had an early Christmas with my mother.. The cats.. Feel in love with the boxes.. We kept several of them to either shred up.. or lay in.. They crack me up.. Little Box hounds...And they love Clothes Basket with clothes in them.. Espeically clean ones... The big babies!

I admit, I'm bad for this, but Spike is just so darned entertaining that it's hard to resist. Oz just chews the boxes, leaving bits of mushy cardboard all over the place (a PITA to clean up after, let me tell you!). Spike, on the other hand ... Oh, he makes me laugh. He'll sit beside the box and WHACK! one of the loose flaps, then when it bounces back up again he WHACKS! it all again, again and again and again, always with this expression of mindless joy on his face. He can literally do this for hours without losing interest.

We currently have the box our Dell computer came in; it's sitting in our living room, big enough that my 6', 275 lb FI can sit cross-legged in it and still have room. We've had this box since mid-July and it's looking a little the worse for wear, but it's sturdy enough that both cats can sit on top of it and look out the window, or attack each other through one of the handholds. At some point I'll throw it out -- it's cluttering up our living room and I'm not a big fan of clutter -- but the amusement factor hasn't dwindled enough to make me do it just yet.
