Hey guys,
Could you please send out some vibes/prayers for a 6-week-old kitten in need of rescue. Got an email last night about the baby who's apparently hanging out in the parking lot of a local restaurant with no food or shelter. Its mama and littermates were all hit by cars. Emails have been flying between the various local rescue groups/shelter as to whose able to rescue the little one, but no one has committed to it yet. A foster home and donation for the kitten's care are available if someone is just willing to trap the kitten.

I'm getting a little frustrated that no one is making any decisions about helping the kitten and may ended up trying to trap it myself if something isn't decided soon.

Please pray that this little one stays safe in the meantime. Thanks.

Sending good vibes for the Kitten.

Trust me, I feel your pain.
There is a Mother and litter of kittens behind a very well known discount store...I won't mention names...where I live.
Two of the kittens have already been killed...they were both taken to the Vet by someone who works there, but sadly both were to badly injured to save.

Someone dumped these kittens and it was captured on video, but the HEARTLESS manager of this store REFUSES to let anyone see it..makes me wonder if she doesn't know who the dumper was

Anyway we could call the police until we're blue in the face and they will do nothing...we've tried in at least two different cases...their answer "Shoot the cats"

There is no Humane Society in my county so we have no help there.
One of my friends used to do TNR...why she doesn't do it anymore is another story that really burns me....anyway she has the traps to catch the Mother and remaining babies and she talked to the Manager to see if she could set up the traps...the answer was "NO"...she was told that the video tapes would be reviewed daily and if anyone was seen setting traps the police would be called.
The police would go after my friend, but will do nothing to help her get on the property to set the traps.

Sorry, I went off on my own vent there!

I hope someone comes to the rescue of the Kitten your speaking of very soon!

Graciecat, I share your anger and frustration. Where is peoples' compassion and sense of responsibility to care for other creatures?

After even more emails, looks like one rescue group is going to step up to the plate and try to trap the kitten. The latest is, though, that there is another kitten and a young adult cat also at the site. Figures. There's always more.

Anyway, the TNR group I volunteer with is going to serve as backup on trapping if need be.

Please keep the vibes coming that the effort to rescue these babies is successful.

I've wondered my whole life how and why some people treat animals the way they do.
Needless to say I know longer shop in that store.
My Friend...the one with the traps...has written to the home office of this company, so far no response and something tells me there won't be one.

My Grandmother always used to say,"If you meet someone and they tell you that they don't like animals, then stay away from them. If they can't find it in their heart to feel compassion for an innocent animal then they don't have a heart at all."

I'll keep sending vibes that the group is able to trap all of three of the kitties.

I don't get it either. People can just be so ignorant and cruel! You're grandmother sounds like a very wise woman, though.

Thanks to everyone for the vibes and prayers. The original 6-week-old kitten has been trapped and is getting medical care. One of the rescue groups is continue to continue to work at the site to trap the other cats.

I'm really surprised and pleased at how quickly the local groups came together on this. Unfortunately, everyone is usually so overwhelmed, it doesn't always happen that way. This shows what happen when people are willing to work together for the sake of the cats.

Good old Grandma, she was something else and never hesitated to tell you what she thought

She was a cat person too, Mr. Ed and George were her cats.
She came from Ireland and brought with her the cradle that my Great-Grandfather made for her to sleep in when she was born.
It became Mr. Ed's bed, all you had to say was "Get in your bed Mr. Ed" and he'd jump in that cradle

I'm so glad that the baby was rescued and now getting medical attention.
I'll keep the vibes going for the other two cats.
