how do I post a picture?

How do I insert an picture of my cat? I have pictures in the 'my documents' section of my computer. When I go to the insert image icon there is a http:// and I have no idea how to find my picture. Sorry I'm so stupid.

I asked the same "stupid" question so don't feel so stupid. From what I've figured, as a new member the only place you can upload a photo directly from your computer is in the sub-forum called "Fur Pictures Only" in the "Cat Lounge" forum. There's a "manage attachments" button and you can upload from there. Otherwise you have to use a photo hosting site such as photobucket (seems popular 'round here). Then you can copy the image link and paste it in your post. Hope this helps and somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

The best way to deal with posting pics is to upload them to a photo hosting site such as Photobucket, and then use the code that they provide to insert the pics into your post. Check out this thread for details of how to do that. A link to Photobucket is contained in it.

how do i ad the pic like the one at the bottom of yours as everyone has it but i havent a clue how to put it on mine! please help?
