Ilford PDSA Animal Cemetery is the final resting place of more than 3,000 animals, including 12 animal heroes from World War II that were awarded the PDSA Dickin Medal, the animals' Victoria Cross.
Over the years, the Cemetery has fallen into disrepair. Many of the graves are now unmarked and any surviving headstones are weathered or broken.
This special project aims to restore the Cemetery to its former glory and to create a final resting place that is fitting for animal heroes.
For more information about the restoration project, or to read about Peter the Search and Rescue dog, Simon the ships cat and the other animal heroes that are buried at Ilford please visit our website.
Thanks guys
