Yum!! I haven't had Pocky in a looooooong time- we had an exchange student from Japan my junior year of high school & she always had lots of goodies! I always loved the strawberry

The green tea kit kats sound very interesting!

Other than Pocky I haven't had much experience with international candy/chocolates/whatever
But I do like Nestle's Coffee Crisps and you can't get those in the states.... gotta go to Canada!

I agree with the "grass is always greener" comment made earlier. What is available elsewhere is different from what we have here. I have heard rumors that Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are highly desired in other places.

Anyway, I am just finishing a Sweet Enticements BonBon and the package says they are from Argentina.

There is a chocolate shop in Las Vegas (I can't think of name -its on the strip) that sells chocolates with the liquor inside.
One of the local grocery stores sells Milka candy.
I like the candy bar "Flakes" its english??? Can't think of who makes it though-World Market sells them for $1.99 each!!

We should start a thread of candies and such that we like and cannot get locally and work out trading deals!!!

I like walkers Cheese and Onion crisps!!

Oooo...I SO love Leonidas in Belgium. I use to have a lot of pen pals and would have my chocolate imported to me

I'll eat the stuff in the U.S, but I hate how much sugar they carry. I remember someone telling me that the reason why the U.S. chocolate (found in the check out lane) lasts so long is that it has wax in it.
Is this true???

There is a coffee candy made in Indonesia that is NOT available for sale outside the country. It is made from real coffee, and it is the most fabulously delicious candy I have ever, EVER had the pleasure to eat!

I used to work for a company (my Dad's) that had an Indonesian sales rep, and when he came to the US he would bring me a great big bag of it. It is called : Kopi-Ko, and I wish, wish, WISH i could get my hands on more of it, but alas, my dad has retired and that rep no longer comes to visit us!!

We do have one of the best Chocolates here in America, Godiva Chocolates are to die for. They're sinfully delicious.

Ha- Reese's are the bomb, difficult to get in this country but not impossible...
Getting Root Beer is nigh on impossible, Drop (Dutch liquirice) is hard to obtain whilst I love a Jamaican soft dring called Ting which is gratefruit flavour and available everywhere in my part of London which has a big afro-caribbean population...
Obviously if I want chocolate I don't bother with Galaxy bars but go straight for Belguim imported chocolate or Green & Blacks

Funny you should mention that. When I saw this thread I automatically thought of my favorite Ritter Sport chocolate from germany. The milk chocolate one with the white yogurt cream inside.
I love those!!

Godiva is wonderful. Sadly I can usually only afford See's, and even then I sneak in and get their free samples most often.
I did just send Brian a box of truffles though from Godiva because he's having a bad week and they're his faves. I'll splurge on hubby.

Meh... Belgium chocolate is the BESTEST ever

I'd give Colombian bitter dark chocolate equal second with Swiss chocolate though my wife is probably best to ask as she adores the stuff

Okay so the mentioning that some things were available on Amazon made me look there but they don't carry the Ritter Sport flavor that I love!

BUT -- I did find it HERE.

It's an online European food mart. For those that missed the liquor filled chocolates, they have five pages worth on there.
I haven't googled reviews on the company yet though, so check them out for yourself before you place an order!

If you have a Cost Plus World Market in your area they carry the Ritter Sport chocolates. Don't know about that flavor but you could check.
