Calling hours tonight.

I have to go to my best friends favorite uncle's calling hours tonight. Bless his heart, he passed away on Sunday..........I just hate these things....you never know what to say except the standard things.........

Just the fact that you are going is all that they'll need to know you care.

If you can't find anything comfortable to say, just go with the standard "I'm so sorry," with a hand grip or a hug, and your friend and her family will understand. Just being there is huge, I know from experience.

I've been to waaaay too many wakes this year.

Oh that is never fun. Just being there will be enough

Just got back.........those things are just awful and sad...............

Your presence is what they need, Sooz. There are no words -- not really. Just be there for your friend.

The main thing is that you went and were there for your friend, Susie.

Those things are not for dead they are for the living.
We go cause are familiy or friends need are support.
Sometimes words are not really needed. I normally just tell people if you need something let know.

Thanks everybody.........your allright. The funeral is today......and it's cold and raining.......yuck.

It's good you just went. Presence conveys more than words to me.

It does mean a lot that you were there....I still remember who was NOT at my husbands and that wake lasted 7 hours!
