Hi all. I am new here and this is my first post. I got 3 kittens from a shelter in June. The 2 girls are sisters and the boy, I just fell in love with. Well, last month we had to put Esther down for FIP and Jack a week later. Now I am so worried about Polly getting the disease. I guess this disease can take anywhere from 2-4 months for her to develop any symptoms, so any little sneeze, and her having the runs all the time has me worried. I have 10 cats and I know it's too many, but the girls were found in a plastic bag tied to a fence and I just couldn't say no after hearing their story. I am not too worried about the others getting FIP since they are older, but I sure am worried about the last baby. Anyone else experience FIP? It's been really sad around here the last few weeks. I am hoping that since Jack and Esther showed symptoms at the same time, that maybe Polly is immune to FIP. They all slept together all the time, and according to all of my research, Polly is doomed since she is a sibling of Esther. Any thoughts?

I'm so sorry for your loss
And those poor babies to have been dumped like that, but bless your heart for taking them in

I'll light a candle for them, but if you post in the Health forum about the others you'll get some help there

Oh I was sad to read your post about Esther & Jack
I can tell their time with you was filled with lots of love, warmth & security

RIP little ones, run & play with your new fur-family over the Bridge

I do not have any experience with your question on FIP, hopefully if you have posted a question in the Health Forum you may get some good advice from some of our other members.

I do hope Polly is OK, please keep us updated !

I'm so sorry for your losses. Rest in peace little Esther and Jack.

At the very least they had a good, loving home for the brief time that they were here but they will always be in your heart. Best wishes for Polly and please keep us updated as to how she is doing.
