I just had to share this story with you!

The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League (BARL) that the Cooking with Cattitude donations are going to help has dogs that have been with them quite some time. They call them "Lifelines." A local gentleman has donated a number of these doghouses to be built for them.

Well, my good friend Miss Belinda who gave us the information to contact BARL was telling me about these doghouses, and shared with me that when she and her daughter Desiree (who is a volunteer there) were visiting them, she just HAD to climb up under the porch and also climb inside one of the houses! Just to see what they were like inside!
She is only about 5'1, so she probably didn't have much trouble getting inside!

Miss Belinda lost her sweet dog Sambo back in the spring, so she is very excited about other animals getting help finding their forever homes. She and Desiree have both thanked me over and over for getting us in touch with BARL.

So for Miss Belinda the animal lover, here's a
to your adventurous spirit! Sambo is smiling from the Rainbow Bridge at his mama!

Those are really nice dog houses. Very sweet man to donate them! It takes a true animal lover to climb in a dog house!!

Ahhh....just look at precious Sambo.

Those dog houses are really nice.

I am so glad that the TCS cookbook funds are going to BARL.

That was the sweetest little fella too. She kept him dressed all the time due to an itchy skin condition. She is a HUGE LSU Tigers fan, most of his outfits were purple and gold. That pic is my favorite one of him.

WOW! Neat doghouse! Cute dog, too.
I'm glad we found this organization. I think our donation will be put to very good use.
Thanks, Neet, for the connection.

You're most welcome Fran. I am glad that someone I love so much like Miss Belinda and Desiree will see a direct benefit from this in their area.

Plus they can take pictures for us of how things turn out!

Oh Neet, that is so sweet, that is one of my favorite pictures of Sambo too.

My friend Susan is at my house, and she smiled when she saw the picture too and said "Oh look at Sammy, (that is what she always called him)

And I want everyone to know the reason I crawled up into those dog houses was to see what they looked like inside. I wanted to see what the dogs were gonna see.

Thanks Neet for putting the picture of Sambo on there, that is another hug I am gonna hafta give you.
