Small Black Bundle

My apologies to my little unknown frined.

Eyes crusted shut and oh so small. I wrapped you up and raced you to the Shelter for care, but you were gone - fading in my hands and before my very eyes.

I am so very sorry that I did not know of you sooner. I wish the call had come earlier.

I have cried for you as in your short life here, you did not know love and warmth and peace of a warm lap to rest upon.

You are resting in God's lap now and his hand of love is upon you.

Sleep well my little friend.

Debra, How very sad that the little one did not live. My heart also aches for the little lamb and my eyes are filled with tears. But you did all you could do. I know that the God's little creature spent his last moments at peace in hands full of love. It must have sensed a heart that valued it so much that it had become more important than anything else in your life. God bless you for caring so much. There will be an extra little kitten scampering to meet you at the bridge.

I am so sorry that the little one did not make it. But I believe that for the last few minutes the baby knew it was safe and loved. It is so hard to lose them knowing that they did not have a chance to know love and care. Blessed be Debra for your caring. I am crying for you both.

Thank you Dee. I just wish the woman had called sooner. Needless death is unforgivable to me.

Debra, count a few more tears shed for that little one. He may not have known love long, but he did know love. He knew your unconditional love to take him in your hands and pour yourself into him. Bless you for caring enough to try.
