The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Tonight when Mark and I got home there was a huge sandy coloured girl wandering around outside our house. I've seen her out the window since we moved here so assume she lives in a house in our street.
She was purring and loving all over us
she followed us to the back door and stretched right up as if to try and open the door
Then she just sat on our step.
We didn't want her to go in if we opened the door as it would be a little unfair on Sleeves and Nismo, so Mark picked her up while I went in and got her some treats

She ate them like she'd never been fed, while we pointed her out to Sleeves who then sat on the window staring at her until she noticed him.
She then sat outside our house for a very long time looking up at him

I've got a feeling she's going to be back

We have named her Edith. Here's to a long and beautiful relationship

I had arms full of shopping Susie so I couldn't find my phone to take a photo but I see her almost everyday so next time I'll definately get a picture

Satai, I know how to find the microchip, I had my gloves on so I didn't check this time, although I thought about it (typical how we always assume kitties outside are lost etc) but as I've seen her quite a few times before I thought it would be ok to leave her this time and next time she comes to say hi I'll have a little feel of her neck for sure

She is certainly a big girl. She has an old face and when she went to miaow nothing came out. I don't know if this means anything? She can purr louder than she can miaow!

Some cats are just really quiet. My Molly and Slayer are extremely quiet. Molly opens her mouth, but almost no sound comes out when she's talking. Molly does this lots, several times a day. She can make noise - like when she's caught something and wants attention for it - she just doesn't.

Slayer is a little louder, on average, but almost never makes a sound - days or even weeks can go by without any meowing from her. Again, she can - she just doesn't.

I've read (I don't know how much weight to put on this) that in pairs, often one cat will be loud and one will be quiet. This certainly seems to be the case with ours - Molly is the quiet one of the Molly and Bobby pair, Slayer the quiet one of the Slayer and Sláine pair.

Talin was very loud when we got him, but has since quietened down a lot. Sláine is his (adoptive) mother, so I sometimes wonder if that's the reason.

It's nice meeting new neighbors isn't it?
I just wish/hope she has a good home.

I just want everybody to know that chips can migrate. Working at the vets office we had a few dogs with migrated chips. The pitbull that came back because of a little bump on his leg was interesting. Turned out the bump was his chip....it moved from between his shoulders to down his leg.

I cant wait for pics of this cute little girl though and hope you spoil her well

I'm 99% sure she belongs to a man a few doors along from us as we saw her on Sunday out side his house on the pavement rolling around showing everyone her tummy, while he was working on his garden.
She's definately a local anyway because she is always around. She looks very healthy, she has beautiful shiny fur and looks very well fed!

How adorable! Don't you just love strange cats who seem to know that you love them? Lol..

There is a sweet kitty that lives across the road from us - BIG boy, white and ginger tabby, and very talkative. He sits on his front fence and every day when I come home I say hello to him - he has such a funny voice, always talks straight back at you with this whiney kind of `gnaaaaaaaah' meow. Like he's complaining about something, and wants to share. Such a funny little man!
